Terms & Conditions

These terms are an offer to use lingolette.com and its apps. By using the service as a guest, creating an account or paying for Premium you accept them.

Content

  • all content that you see and hear in articles is generated by neural networks
  • we are a part of OpenAI's Copyright Shield program, please don't send any complaints to us — you will be redirected to their lawyers
  • although we try to keep graphic content neutral, some of it may be disturbing to your personal views
  • article content generated based on funny but fake information is marked correspondingly
  • content generated in the voice chat varies depending on your knowledge, skills and environment to increase immersion effect
  • we do not guarantee perfect content adoption, but we strive to provide the best possible experience
  • content older than a year is subject to gradual deletion

Your voice data

  • if you are a guest or a free user, the voice data you provide (voice messages, voice calls and anything else you say to the AI tutors) can be used to improve the quality of our AI tutors
  • see our Privacy Policy for how voice data is processed and how long it is kept

Tracking

  • we use visitors tracking to improve user experience constantly
  • there is no way to opt out from tracking for free users, see our Privacy Policy for more details

Ads

  • free users may see ads, paying users have an option to disable all ads
  • no personal user information is sent to any of our advertising partners
  • our advertising partners may receive your device identifier only, to optimize ads for you

Premium version

  • Premium version enables you to access advanced features on the platform
  • you can temporarily get access to Premium features by using internal currency ("Gems")
  • you have 100 Gems upon account creation and can earn more by completing challenges

Ordering

  • to order Premium, sign in, open the Upgrade page and pick a monthly or a yearly plan
  • the price, currency and billing period are shown on the checkout page before you pay; any taxes are included in that price
  • accounts older than two days may get a 7-day free trial: the first charge happens when the trial ends, unless you cancel before
  • the order is complete once the payment is confirmed: the checkout page tells you right away

Payment

  • you pay online with a bank card or another method offered on the checkout page
  • payments are processed by our payment providers over a secure connection; we never see or store your card number
  • a subscription renews automatically and is charged at the start of every billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel it

Delivery

  • Premium is a digital service, nothing is shipped
  • Premium features are enabled on your account immediately after the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute, on the web and in the apps
  • if Premium is not enabled within 24 hours after payment, contact us and we will enable it or refund the payment

Cancellation and refunds

  • you can cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings, or by writing to us
  • after cancellation Premium access ends and no further payments are taken; payment for the rest of the current period is not refunded
  • if you delete your account your subscription is cancelled automatically and no payments are refunded, no Gems are reimbursed either
  • as Premium starts right after payment at your request, you agree that the 14-day withdrawal period for digital services ends when Premium is enabled
  • double charges, charges after a cancellation and payments for Premium that was never enabled are refunded in full: write to us within 30 days of the charge
  • approved refunds are sent to the payment method you paid with within 10 business days; your bank may take a few more days to show them

Maintenance

  • sometimes we may need to take the service down for maintenance
  • we will try to notify you in advance, but we may not be able to do so
  • we will try to use the hours of least activity for this necessary downtime

Email campaigns

From time to time we may send you an email with useful information about the service, new features, or other important updates. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.

No liability

We (lingolette.com) state that by using our online service, you agree that we shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of the use or inability to use the service.
